Timothy P. Wadhams
Timothy Wadhams serves as the Vice President of the CUBRC Hypersonics and Aerosciences sector where he oversees hypersonic ground testing and computational analytics in the Large Energy National Shock (LENS) tunnel family of facilities. He has over 25 years of expertise in hypersonics aerodynamics and RDT&E spanning his undergraduate, graduate and professional career.
As sector VP, Tim is responsible for the development, execution and reporting of hypersonic ground testing for government, industry and academia customers. He has developed a deep, detailed understanding of hypersonic/high-temperature flow physics, the operation of hypersonic ground test facilities, the use of high-frequency instrumentation, and diagnostics and program management skills.
Tim has been the primary or co-author on over 50 AIAA meetings or journal publications in the technical aspects of hypersonic research and testing systems. He earned a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering from RPI and a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He was honored as an AIAA Associate Fellow in 2020.
